Welcome to November,
My mission is to turn up the volume on your radiance. Here goes!............
Over years of working with dance, movement, expressive and healing arts, I have come to understand how an expanded state of being can be created through a spiritual connection with my body . My desire to facilitate this experience for others led me to create VividExistence, a 5 stage system of sensual awakening, energy expanding, and dynamically liberating expressiveness.
As a subscriber to this newsletter, you will be receiving bi-monthly issues from me where I will touch on one of the 5-stages of VividExistence. In conjunction with the VividExistence DVDs & CDs, these newsletters will help you creatively master a new habit – the habit of enjoying an ever more vivid existence!
The 5 stages of VividExistence are:
Sense Ground Mobilize Harness Express
Sense: to connect with self and other and become aware of yourself as energy.
As your senses reach out they create echoes inside of you called sensation. Sensation, quite simply, is the language of your body. It is immediate and arises even before you can consciously register it as such.
When thought or attention comes into the experience of sensation, you have sensing. Or, we could say, that sensing is the knowing part of you - knowing itself. Sensing brings us into intimate relatedness with the world, curiously and deeply.
These sensations, responses to stimuli, invite us to want more, or less, of those stimuli. Pleasurable sensations, such as the scent of a fragrant flower, or the taste of a delicious dessert, create the emotional response of happiness, joy and fulfillment in us. Unpleasant sensations, such as pain, affect us differently and contain the necessary information to help us avoid injury or suffering.
When we tune into sensation, our internal environment, we become more body centered. Ironically this connection to body sensations allow us to be more intimately connected, more sensitive to external/environmental stimuli as well.

External – internal – external. Sensing creates a current that allows us to experience a deeper oneness and connection with all of creation.
Kaala Kos said "Look for the good and praise it". Her words are a delicious reminder to use our senses to amplify appreciation, helping us to experience the blessedness of the small graces in our lives!
Sensing and appreciation, therefore, go hand in hand. The deeper we sense, the greater we can appreciate. In fact, true appreciation can only be known when we are having a vividly sensual experience of that which we appreciate.
Sensing also profoundly effects our creativity. In fact, this is how our imaginations are stirred and fed.
So..............

Sensations, while they occur in a physical body are not physical. You cannot touch a chill or see an itch. Sensation is energy. We give form to sensation when we ground. Stay tuned for the 2nd stage of VividExistence : Ground.
