 Hola From Mexico
Here in Mexico I witness the setting of the sun almost everyday. Dipping down into the pacific ocean, I watch the amazing exhibition of colours and nuances playing across the sky that is created as the brilliant ball of fire disappears from this hemisphere for another day. I am keenly aware that we are nearing the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year, and I am reminded that the nature of life is eternal change. This time of year, the darkest, always makes me want to turn inward and reflect on the past 12 months that are about to culminate in the turning of a new tide, the evolution to the new year. The successes and the failures, the accomplishments and the items that have remained elusive and distant. Perhaps my most valuable lesson this year came from one of my biggest failures and how I dealt with it, or rather transformed it into a win from all the learning there was for me. I hope you will be gentle with yourselves as you reflect on your year, celebrate your blessings and acknowledge the failures as opportunities for growth! Amongst my blessings are the many many beautiful people in my life. Thank you for being one of them! VividExistence Year Recapitulation
You may wish to explore the year's events through the lens of the VividExistence 5 stage system to identify the processes that characterized 2007 for you. If you categorize your experiences in these 5 stages, you will have a fun time noticing the meaning in your year's progression. The 5 stages are: sense, ground, mobilize, harness and express. Each experience will fit best into one of these stages.
Books For the Holidays
The Secret Of Successful Failing by Gina Mollicone-Long.
Gina's fresh new perspective on failure is unique and so important. Failure has been given a bad name. Failure is actually a valuable opportunity and often-necessary first step on the road to success. The Secret of Successful Failing shows why failure is a good thing and how you can leverage it by mastering the Law of Attraction. It provides workable ways of reframing failures so you can use their lessons in support of yourself. It delivers a wealth of practical techniques for turning yourself around so you can confidently move toward your objectives.

The Fairest of Them All by Christy Whitman
An absolute must read for women. It is a missing link in our relationship to the women in our lives. It is the covert corrosion that keeps us disconnected from each other and ourselves.

The Botany of Desire by Michael Pollan
I loved the introduction especially and the chapter on the tulip. It really gives you a lateral perspective on our relationship to the plant world and how plants have maneuvered us to act on their behalf. It humbles humans and reminds us of our place in nature.
Tickle the Universe Don't forget to include random acts of sensual kindness in your gift repertoire this holiday season.
